Feed Chute Bases
Standard features on all feed chute bases include:
- Design loads based around the worst-case scenario of a blocked feed chute to ensure all situations are covered.
- Steel construction with industrial-grade surface protection combination of plating and paint
- Dual-stage seal system in the wheel bearing and seal design and selection to address corrosion-related failures.
- Winch attachment points at front and rear and rear of chute base.
- Hydraulic quick-connect points are located inside a sealed cabinet for easy connection to the off-board hydraulic power unit.
- Guarding and protecting all crush zones and pinch points.
- Feed chute base to floor anchor points provided.
- Interface flange with existing rock box
- Counterweight provided as required
- Lifting points are provided as standard.
A wide range of options is available, including:
- Cross travel bogies. Hydraulic cylinder powered raise / lower. Hydraulic motor-powered rail wheel travel
- Push cylinder option. Allows push cylinders to be installed on the feed chute to assist with the initial breaking of the seal between the feed chute and mill/conveyor feeder.
- Optional Remote-control pendant
- Optional Touchscreen integration with an inbuilt diagnostic system
- Options are available to upgrade existing chutes.

The GEARS Mining Feed Chute Transporter range is the premier choice for feed chute removal. Our feed chute transporter range offers the ultimate solution for easy maintenance and operation, feed chute removal and mill deck manoeuvrability. This is all included in a serviceable and maintenance-friendly design.
Standard features on all feed chute transporters include:
- Design loads based around the worst-case scenario of a blocked feed chute to ensure all situations are covered.
- Wide range of capacities available from 20,000kgs through to 140,000kgs
- Steel construction with industrial-grade surface protection combination of plating and paint
- Supplied as standard with hydraulic lever control
- 4-wheel rubber tyre configuration with 2-wheel steer
- Four hydraulic lift cylinders for integration with feed chute lift points.
- Two hydraulic push cylinders for assistance with breaking seal between chute and feeder.
- Guarding and protection of all crush zones and pinch points.
A wide range of options is available, including:
- Multi-wheel configurations available to suit mill floor loading capacity
- Closed-loop hydraulic systems as standard on transporters with a capacity rating higher than 80,000kgs
- Optional remote-control pendant
- Optional touchscreen integration with an inbuilt diagnostic system
