Auto Setup Mode
Allows liner handler to automatically configure itself for installation in to the mill with the press of a button.
A quick and simple solution for setting up your liner handler for installation into the mill.
- Eliminates risk to an operator from potentially falling at heights hazard.
- Remove operator error and machine damage.
- Eliminates faulty pendants and other inefficient or unsafe methods of boom positioning.
Operator Seat Install Mode
Allows liner handler to position itself to allow for safe installation of the operator seat.
- Minimise falling from heights risks associated with fatigue, poor lighting and poor judgement by MRM Operators.
- Removes manual handling issues associated with seat installation.
CANbus System and Emergency Stop Monitoring
- CANBus system manages machine health, ensuring an optimal safe operating environment.
- Maximises safe environment for operator by constantly monitoring all systems on liner handler.
- Reduce relining downtime with dual operator screens instantly showing fault codes.
- Our systems use rugged mobile fleet style IP68 rated electrical connectors throughout the electrical system to reduce potential failure points.
Pack up Mode
It is a quick and simple method of returning the machine to its parked/storage position.
- Eliminates risk to operator from fall hazards.
- Reduces operator error and machine damage.
- Removes potential for operator error and machine damage.

- When combined with the beam extend/retract function, provides a total of 7 Axis of machine movement.

- Optional grapple extend function available for 8 Axis Machines.
- Grapple Tool (standard on 6, 7 and 8 Axis machines)
- Hydraulic powered grapple tool
- Grapple tool is monitored for faults via the CANBus system.
- Safety interlock provided on Grapple Pin Release function.
- Designed in cooperation with liner suppliers to ensure the correct liner interface.
- Operator Control
- HMI (Human Machine Interface) at the Operator station is supplied as standard to show any fault codes and machine status.
- The safety Interlock button does not allow the system to be pressurised until the operator has assessed the work area and confirms it is safe to start operation.
- Automatic setup mode to position turntable in the correct position once the machine is inside the mill to allow safe installation of the seat.
- Joystick control is offered as standard. Hydraulic lever control can be provided on request.
- Optional push-button horn to alert nearby workers available upon request.
- Optional LUX meter available on Operator console to monitor light in the working area.
- Beam
- Single or two-stage telescoping beam for optimal positioning inside the mill.
- Outer beam stationary during reline operation
- Powered Liner Carriage cart
- High capacity rating to allow multiple liners to be transported.
- 360° Continuous slew (non-powered)
- Optional powered slew available upon request.
- Liner cart automatically locks every 90° of rotation.
- Ergonomic pendant control to allow precision movement and placement during operation.
- Operation of liner cart is available from operator console to ensure correct positioning.
- CANBus system alerts operator via HMI of liner cart movement.
- Machine Drive
- Rubber tyre 4x2 configuration as standard.
- Fitted as standard with a safety Interlock button that does not allow the system to be pressurised until the operator has assessed the work area and confirms it is safe to start operation.
- Standard arrangement allows for general driving and manoeuvring on the mill deck.
- Baseframe controls are locked out while the machine is used inside the mill.
- Automatic configuration mode for installation into the mill. The machine will automatically configure itself for installation in to mill upon the press of a button.
- Automatic configuration mode for pack up after the operation. The machine will automatically configure itself into the packed up position upon the press of a button.
- Standard warning systems include a flashing light and beacon that activates during tramming and movement of the machine.
- Work Zone Lighting
- Choice of LED or balloon lighting above turntable.
- LED lighting underneath beam to provide ambient lighting to the entire mill.
- Optional under platform LED lighting available to provide additional lighting for personnel working outside the mill.
- Anchor details
- GEARS will supply anchor plates in the scope of supply for installation by others.
- 4 point tie-down system is used to ensure maximum machine stability during operation.
- Platforms
- Platforms will be designed to be the optimum width possible for the design envelope available, allowing for safer passage of liner cart past personnel working on the platform.
- Removable covers to allow access to machine lifting points and machine service points.
- Access ladder supplied as standard can be fitted to either side of the machine.
- Optional stair access available upon request
- Electrical System
- 380 to 690V systems are available in either 50 or 60 Hertz.
- CE and CSA compliance are available upon request.
- The electrical system as a whole is rated to IP67.
- CANBus system throughout the entire machine for machine control and monitoring.
- Touchscreen panel on MCC and HMI at Operator’s console provide full machine diagnostics.
- The electrical system is wired using electrical looms to allow quick replacement and maintenance of electrical cables and sensors. Every harness is labelled for easy replacement.
- Hydraulic System
- Pressure compensated system to allow for fine control and liner placement
- A full hydraulic hose catalogue and hose labelling system allow quick hose replacement if required.
